Momijigari Gifu



Autumn colours at Eihoji (永保寺) temple in Tajimi in Gifu prefecture, Japan. The yellow Iccho tree (Ginko) at the bottom dates from 1332

  5. Z, it certainly was a riot of colours! I was told that 2010 was good for the colours. A kaleidoscope of shapes and colours in an extremely photogenic country like Japan. One cannot go wrong with a digital camera capable of taking more than 1000 images! I was like a kid in a candy store!

  6. I love the Japanese Maple trees in the fall. They are so vibrant especially when draped with sun's rays.

  7. Puii they are lovely indeed. In the second picture a shaft of sunlight suddenly lit up that maple.......it was a magical moment.
