Ilam Blues

The most wonderful and unpolluted blue skies in Fikkal Ilam. While the lowlands in southern Nepal was cold and gloomy during mid January 2011 the hills were alive with glorious sunshine from morning till evening. Pictures top to bottom: prayer flags flutter against the blue sky in the morning breeze; Ilam Chiyabari tea factory; tea gardens of Kanyam; and a alpine style cottage in Fikkal.

  3. This is what I love about winter, that's the mild ones we're used to. Just for contrast, could you post a couple of pictures of the sky in winter in the big industrialized cities? Just curious to see the difference.

  4. That would be really ugly! However I must say a lot of cities have cleaned up their act but sadly not in this part of the world.

  6. Ilam is really one of the most beautiful places. I love it. Maybe one day just leave this polluted city and stay there.
